Not too shabby considering we had taken the whole week off from running due to various injuries (my foot and back nerve.) We also had not been running as much as would be typical for a run this duration. We did manage to finish without stopping, and at altitude (5200 ft [1585 m]) too! J had been in front of me for most of the run and he slowed and reached back to hold my hand for the finish and some woman totally knocked us out of the way to cross before us. Nice, eh? Too bad she didn't get a medal in her age group and we both did! Ha!

a much better run, i only stopped once at ~21 minutes; i just kept setting new goals (reach that street, finish this song) and let myself go as slow as i wanted, telling myself i could stop any time. did i mention the gigantic hill i have to walk up at the end of every run, with the absolute steepest part right at the end, no exaggeration.

This was not a good workout day. The HR monitor went a little nuts after about 15 minutes and started reading half the rate. I think the average was ~164, maybe. And I was hungry as I was driving to the gym so I think I just ran out of steam. But at least I went, a bad workout's better than no workout, right?
